Day 3, page 15 – second prayer
Prayer Our Absent Ones
O Lord, Who [is] not far from any of [Your] children, watch with [Your] care those who are far away from us; [You be] about their path; [You be] within their hearts; [You be] their defense upon their right hand; give them unfailing trust in [You]; grant them power against temptation; qualify them for whatever tasks [You give] them to do; deliver them from setting duty aside; make it their joy to do [Your] will. Let not distance break the bonds of love that bind them to us, but unite us closer in [Your] love. [May Your Will, at all times and in all places, be done, through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in unity with the Holy Spirit. Amen. ]

In the blog posts under this title we will revisit a collection of prayers published by the BBC* in the 1950’s for use in hospitals,  denote changes. These prayers included Psalms suggested reading within the text and here we add some Old and New Testament scripture that could also be associated with the prayers.
