A Collection of Prayers for use in Hospitals: Day 3 – for Serenity of Mind

Day 3, page 16 – frist prayer

Prayer for Serenity of Mind

O Lord, our hiding place, grant us wisdom, we pray [Lord], to seek no hiding place [outside] of [You] in life, or in death.  Now hide us in [Your] Own Presence from the provoking of all men, and keep us from the strife of tongues.  Make us humble, and patient, and teach us to seek peace and ensue it, through Jesus Christ our Lord. [For we know the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and when we let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body, we are thankful, and find the serenity we seek.]  [Amen]
